Londyn Jones' Flat Stanley visits Aunt Jeannie's Library

Flat Stanley got some new clothes in Tennessee.  He is now dressed in Tennessee Orange for the University of Tennessee sports teams.  The next thing that happened to Flat Stanley was that he went to Aunt Jeannie's Library!  It is really the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library in Clarksville, TN.  He was awestruck by all of the things in the Children's Library.  He made new friends and played in the bathtub, yes, the blue bathtub.  He visited his book's place on the shelf.  He made new friends with a young man using the AWE computers.  Stanley liked playing with the dinosaurs, too. He even let the gorilla hold him for a picture as well as Pooh bear.   Aunt Jeannie's library was just wonderful and it had lots of good books too.  They were preparing for their Summer Reading Program.  I bet your library has a Summer Reading Program, TOO!  Please go check it out.

Well, Stanley is also gonna take his time about getting back to school, we are so sorry.  But he will have adventures to tell about when he does get there.

Londyn Jones' Flat Stanley visits the Peabody Hotel

Flat Stanley had finished his meal at Texas deBrazil and headed straight to the Peabody Hotel.  He wanted to see the ducks march to the huge fountain to take a swim.  Unfortunately the ducks were all tucked safe in their beds and all Stanley got to do was see the gorgeous flowers and beautiful fountain with Mawmaw and Aunt Jeannie.

Londyn Jone's Flat Stanley at the Family BBQ

Flat Stanley checking out Uncle Robby grilling for the family at Kimmy's house.  The food was soooo good!  Flat Stanley at a lot of hot dogs!

Londyn Jones' Flat Stanley seeing the sights in Tennessee!

Londyn Jones' Flat Stanley is hanging out in Tennessee!  When he arrived in Tennessee, Londyn's Flat Stanley was greeted enthusiastically by her Aunt Jeannie, who is a librarian.  Aunt Jeannie had seen many Flat Stanley's in her Library, but had never had one sent to HER!

Flat Stanley was taken to Memphis, Tennessee to celebrate Kimberly's birthday.  Stanley went out with everyone to eat dinner at Texas deBrazil Steakhouse.  He was really impressed with the service and the awesome salad bar.  Stanley practiced his table manners and was really good and ate all his dinner.

Victoria Sharker's Flat Stanley in Virginia

Victoria's Flat Stanley has had so much fun in Roanoke, Virginia, that he is late in getting back to school!  He has been visiting the Keisers:  Bruce and Catherine are the parents, Emily, their daughter, is 15 years old, and Cruiser is Emily's big, floppy-eared Basset Hound!  The mountains here are beautiful and the weather has been mostly sunny and not too hot.  Everything is so green here because of lots of rain before Flat Stanley arrived.  Look for Flat Stanley to arrive back at Slaughter Elementary later this week!

Carson's Flat Stanley Surprises are coming to Slaughter Monday!

We had such fun having Carson's  Flat Stanley go on our adventures with us.  We wrote a book that we are sending and have a treat for each of Carson's friends in class.  Also, we talked about it in the book but Carson's Flat Stanley really became a Texas Ranger's Fan hanging out at our house.  The Rangers Mascot is a horse named Captain.  We are sending Carson a "Flat Captain" Pillow Pet.   Maybe he could take turns reading with or spending time in your class.  Carson will have to share with us some of his adventures with your class.  Hope you all have a wonderful summer.  GO RANGERS!

Gavin Spitzer's Flat Stanley forgot his fishing shorts at Grandma Julie's house. Don't worry, we'll be seeing Gavin this weekend and I'll be sure to bring them. Hope you had a safe trip home Flat Stanley!

Ryan Juliano's Flat Stanley is hanging out with his cousin, Matthew.

Ryan's Flat Stanley has been spending a few weeks with his cousin, Matthew, in McKinney.  Matthew is in 5th grade at Walker Elementary.  Flat Stanley has been having lots of fun watching Matthew play baseball, playing air hockey with him, jumping on the trampoline and playing with his cats.  He even found himself in the middle of a Nerf war with Matthew and his friends.  Don't worry, though, Stanley had plenty of Nerf ammo.  Stanley thinks that the best part of his stay so far is learning how to play Minecraft with Matthew.

Stanley is returning to Slaughter with a new vest for holding additional Nerf darts, a baseball cap, baseball glove, a bat and a ball.  We've had fun with Ryan's Flat Stanley - thanks for letting him come over and hang out with us!

Samyria Brown's Flat Stanley Adventure

Samyria's Flat Stanley had an opportunity to visit Grandma in St.Fransciville, LA.

While in Louisiana, Flat Stanley visited many places. Some of them were historical sites, including one of the oldest churches in the area.

Flat Stanley enjoyed spending time with Samyria's family and friends. He even has souvenirs to show when he returns to school.

Caleb Young's Flat Stanley is on his way back to Slaughter Elementary. He enjoyed his adventures in Texas and New Mexico. He is returning with a new vest and photos from his trip. Caleb's Grandpa Bob and Grandma Vicki enjoyed his visit very much.

Kendall's Flat Stanley Visits the Naval Museum

Kendall Dodson's Flat Stanley went to the Naval Muesum in Pensacola, FL.  This is the same museum that Sissy and Kendall visited a few months ago.  Flat Stanley really wanted to go up in the airplane and be a fighter pilot.  He wanted to go so bad that he put a fighter pilot suit on.
Flat Stanley really liked the Bear Pilots.  The Bears told him all about the adventures of flying.

Flat Stanley would not get out of the Blue Angels airplane.   He wanted to fly so bad.

Flat Stanley stared at the airplanes in the air for hours hoping that one day he would be able to fly.

Catherine Philips' Stanley joined the Melissa Cardinal defending 2A state champion linemen during spring workout.  Stanley really had fun blocking and going after linebackers.

Hi Chloe Fantauzzi

Flat Stanley spent the weekend in Upstate Cairo, NY - thats before you get to Albany (New York states capital). He loved the mountains, he got to climb a tree and visit with Lola - she's a goat. It was too windy and Lola kept moving so Flat Stanley couldn't hop on her for a ride...on my way back home.
Hey Camaren Gell.  Flat Stanley has just finished his dinner of pork chops, stuffing, and peas.  He is getting ready for his trip back to Texas.  Last weekend we went to Lake George in New York for some white water rafting.  He couldn't go on the raft because he didn't make the height restriction so he babysat 4 dogs while we went.  He can't wait to see you again and tell you of his adventures in Connecticut and New York.  Luvs, Mrs. Chester.

Olivia Wright's Flat Stanley visits Lubbock, TX

Olivia's Stanley came to Lubbock for a visit and, of course, he went to work with us.  Stanley made pizza and ate Crazy Bread.  He loves that Pizza Pizza and Crazy Bread!!

Next, Stanley went for a ride in the Caeasr Truck.  It really is a fun ride!!

A visit to Little Caesars would not be complete without getting to see Caesar Man.  Stanley got hugs from Caesar Man and thought he was CRAZY fun.

Lubbock is also home to the Texas Tech Red Raiders.  Although there were no games while Stanley was in Lubbock, he did go the campus, got a t-shirt, and got his picture taken at the fountain.

And when it was time to relax, Stanley just chilled by the pool.  What a great way to spend the evening before leaving for McKinney.

Olivia, we really enjoyed Flat Stanley's visit and can't wait for YOU to come to Lubbock!!

Oh, and Stanley is bringing some souvenirs for you and your classmates.  Sure hope you all enjoy the "Welcome Home" celebration for Stanley.

Arie Leeper's Flat Stanley's last adventure.

Before Arie's Stanley heads home, he wanted one more visit to the woods with Pawpaw.  Stanley visited a managed forest area.  One day these trees will be used as lumber to build homes, maybe some even in McKinney.

Climb Stanley!  Don't let that snake get you!!

Looks like a forest fire went through this area.  Smokey the Bear says, "Only you can prevent forest fires!"  So be careful with fire when visiting the woods.

Stanley says, "See you soon!"
