Helen Soqui's Stanley experiences a California heatwave

Helen Soqui's Flat Stanley has been in Redlands, California with her cousins.  Today there was a Southern California heatwave and there were high temperatures all over.  In Los Angeles it was 101 degrees.  The last time it was that hot in May was 124 years ago!


Flat Stanley visited the AK Smiley Public Library and he helped us pick out books.  This library was built in 1894 by the Smiley Brothers.

Here is Avery and Flat Stanley buying fruit at a fruit stand.  We got oranges, avocados, zucchinis and blackberries.  He insisted on the blackberries!
